At the same CIVITAS Award ceremony, the Lowcountry Economic Network’s Executive Director Kim Statler was recognized with the Lowcountry Young Professional Award, and the Lowcountry Economic Network was nominated in the Outstanding Non-Profit category.
Leading local developer, Dick Stewart of member company 303 Associates was honored by the SC Department of Commerce with one of the South Carolina Homegrown Champions awards. The Homegrown Champion award recognizes individuals who have returned to their hometown and have made a positive impact in their community.
In May, Dean Moss, the Lowcountry Economic Network’s Chairman, and General Manager of member organization Beaufort-Jasper Water & Sewer Authority received the SC Economic Development Association (SCEDA) Volunteer of the Year award. The award is based on personal time and effort expended by the recipient in attracting or locating new business to a region as well as projects of significant economic impact.
