<P>The <em><A class=offsite-link-inline target=_blank href="http://savdailynews.com/main.asp?Search=1&amp;ArticleID=15602&amp;SectionID=14&amp;SubSectionID=345&amp;S=1">Savannah Business Report &amp; Journal</A></em> Lowcountry News section published an article in which Kim Statler of the Lowcountry Economic Network&nbsp;says <A class=offsite-link-inline target=_blank href="http://www.co.beaufort.sc.us/">Beaufort County</A> has always been environmentally sensitive, long before 'going green' was in vogue and talked about developing GREEN incentive packages.&nbsp;</P>

<P>Member company <A class=offsite-link-inline target=_blank href="http://www.carecorenational.com/">CareCore National</A> was also honored with the <A class=offsite-link-inline target=_blank href="http://www.beaufortsc.org/">Beaufort Regional Chamber of Commerce’s</A> Annual <A class=offsite-link-inline target=_blank href="http://www.beaufortsc.org/c_images/CIVITAS%202008%20Award%20Recipients.pdf">CIVITAS Award for Regional Economic Impact</A>. And member company Tanger Outlets was recognized with the Community Stewardship award. </P>

<P>At the same <A class=offsite-link-inline target=_blank href="http://www.beaufortsc.org/c_images/CIVITAS%202008%20Award%20Recipients.pdf">CIVITAS Award ceremony</A>, the Lowcountry Economic Network’s Executive Director Kim Statler was recognized with the Lowcountry Young Professional Award, and the Lowcountry Economic Network was nominated in the Outstanding Non-Profit category.</P>

<P>Leading local developer, Dick Stewart of member company <A href="mailto:info@303associates.com">303 Associates</A> was honored by the SC Department of Commerce with one of the South Carolina <A class=offsite-link-inline target=_blank href="http://www.beauforttoday.com/node/484">Homegrown Champions awards</A>. The Homegrown Champion award recognizes individuals who have returned to their hometown and have made a positive impact in their community.</P>

<P>In May, Dean Moss, the Lowcountry Economic Network’s Chairman, and General Manager of member organization <A class=offsite-link-inline target=_blank href="http://www.bjwsa.org/">Beaufort-Jasper Water &amp; Sewer Authority</A> received the SC Economic Development Association (SCEDA) Volunteer of the Year award. The award is based on personal time and effort expended by the recipient in attracting or locating new business to a region as well as projects of significant economic impact.</P></li>
