Tom Zinn graduated with a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering from Carnegie Mellon University in 1971, with a master’s degree in business administration from the University of Rochester in 1973, and with a Juris Doctor degree in real estate law from Duquesne University in 1981. Zinn was appointed President of the Stearns Company in 1986 where he was responsible for all aspects of the company’s nine-state, $200,000,000 real estate portfolio. In 1999, Zinn moved from Kentucky to Bluffton to be a partner in the purchase and development of Belfair, Berkeley Hall and a large portion of the Buckwalter property. He also continues to coordinate real estate activities on 5,000 acres of land near St. George, Utah. Currently, he is the Chairman of the Economic Base Diversification Task Group for the Town of Bluffton and a member of the Kentucky Bar.
