Richard Stewart - 303 Associates

After graduating from Beaufort High School in 1967, Richard Stewart earned a bachelor’s degree in education from Georgia Southern University and a master’s degree in business administration with honors from Mercer University. Stewart worked as a schoolteacher before beginning a career of more than 25 years in wireless telecommunications, including nearly ten years with Motorola. He formed several successful wireless communications businesses and served two terms as Chairman of the Board of the American Mobile Telecommunications Association (AMTA). Stewart is the founder and CEO of 303 Associates LLC, a Beaufort-based real estate management company. He also is the founder of Associated Luxury, a hospitality company based in Beaufort.

Stewart was nominated as Entrepreneur of the Year for the Atlanta area in 1992. Since returning to Beaufort in 1998, he has served as Chairman of the Greater Beaufort Chamber of Commerce and Chairman of the Board of the Greater Beaufort-Hilton Head Economic Partnership and as a member of Beaufort County Council. He has received four Main Street Beaufort Awards for Excellence for property rehabilitations and renovations.
